Frequently asked questions
Is Nobami really free?
Yes. Editing, importing and exporting every supported format is free, with no sign-up. The built-in AI includes a free daily allowance, and you can use your own API key or a local model for unlimited use.
Can I open HWP files without Hancom Office?
Yes. Nobami reads HWP 5.0 and HWPX files directly in your browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS and Android. You can edit them and save as HWPX, DOCX or PDF.
Are my documents uploaded to a server?
No. Files are opened and edited locally in your browser. They are only sent to our servers if you sign in and turn on cloud sync or create a share link. AI requests send only the text you choose to the AI provider you selected.
Which AI models can I use?
Nobami uses Claude by default. You can also connect your own OpenAI, Google Gemini or OpenRouter key, or run a model on your own computer with Ollama, LM Studio or any OpenAI-compatible server for fully offline AI.
Will my Word, Excel and PowerPoint files keep their formatting?
Nobami preserves text, headings, lists, tables, images, formulas and slide layouts in common files. Very complex layouts, macros or rare features may look different, so we recommend checking important files after export.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Install Nobami as a web app (PWA) or use the Windows or Android app. Editing works without a connection; cloud AI and sync resume when you are back online.
Can I edit and sign PDFs?
Yes. Add text and highlights, fill forms, draw or type a signature, and rotate, delete, reorder or merge pages, all in your browser.
Which languages does Nobami support?
The interface is available in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Hindi and Vietnamese, and the AI can translate documents between them.
